Arnold Chesney was born on March 26, 1968 in Luttrell, TN. He attended
Gibbs High School in Corryton, TN and was a receiver on the football team.
His schooling moved onward to college at East
Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.
His first musical experience was playing at local places around the Johnson City area. He recorded his first album in 1989 at Classic Recording Studio in Bristol, VA. He used the money from the 1,000 copies of the album to purchase a new guitar.
His first album, In My Wildest Dreams, was released on Capricorn Records in 1994 and sold 10,000 copies. Capricorn Records closed its country music division that year. Chesney then signed on to BNA Records which released his second album All I Need to Know in 1995. The title track and “Fall in Love” both reached the Top Ten.
